Air Itam Dam, Penang.

Air Itam Dam has been the first dam to be built on Penang island. At 200 m above sea level, the water catchment area is around the corner from Penang Hill. Construction of the dam was between 1958 and 1962. The Governor of Penang officially opened the dam on 8 December 1962. This dam is one of three dams on Penang island.
