George Town is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Penang. The city comprises of Penang Island and its surrounding smaller islands. The jurisdiction of George Town covers an area of 305.77 km2, encompassing the entirety of Penang Island and five of the surrounding islets. The city features a tropical rainforest climate.
